Walk on the Beach

Wet Sand
Lavender and mint green
Like Chinese silk
A fragile carpet
I walk
Where the ocean meets
What slows it

The heaving turmoil
Tempered by the quiet advance
Of light-tickled foam
Finds my feet
Each bubble a prism globe
When I really look

So much to do today
